Carsten Raack

Playing for Chicago Blues Hockey Club at The Edge in Bensenville, IL. I am primarily used at C, but I also play either W and either D. This season I am playing more special teams primarily on PP1.

My approach to the game is defensive-minded, 200×85 hockey. Skating my shifts hard to both ends of the ice, my hope is to earn the coach’s trust to earn my minutes and situations. The points will come if this is my focus.

My biggest strength on the ice in any position is skating ability, getting to my spots and also getting pucks to the net in order to create offense. I believe in hard forecheck and back check. Although I am not big, I embrace the physical aspect of the game and am not afraid to give and take hits. I like to play down near the crease.

I am highly coachable and am able to pick up systems very quickly. I attribute this to my academic success having earned 8 A+ grades this past school trimester.

In the offseason I have worked with Grunnah Power Skating (GPS), True North Hockey and Calahan Hockey & Fitness.
