ScoutVid is an interactive Platform that connects youth of ages with Scouts, Coaches and Organizations all over the world.
ScoutVid is a space to store your game highlights, On and Off Ice training, interviews videos and more.
Why Use ScoutVid
Your Player Profile is easily sharable with friends and family and/or prospective coaches, scouts and teams. Instead of continually finding your videos and footage to send you can now simply send your ScoutVid link. Scouts and coaches can contact you after they like what they see.
ScoutVid can be a great timeline for yourself or your child’s development over the years.
As a scout or coach you can easily search from a large search criteria to pinpoint exactly what your team needs are. You have video footage at your fingertips. Like what you see, you can save players to your favorite list, create teams and have the ability to contact players you like. No more searching through emails and saved folders for player footage, it’s all at your fingertips.
Organizations have the ability to create profiles for their scouts and coaches underneath them. Each profile will become instantly verified.
Registration
How do I signup?
Click Create Player Profile, Coach/Coach Signup or Organization to enter the registration page. Enter your email address and create a password.
Select which profile you would like to create, either Player, Scout/Coach or Organization.

How many steps to create a profile?
Creating a Player Profile is a 3 step process to allow us to gather all of the information required for your profile.
Why is there many fields of information that is required during the Player Profile creation steps?
ScoutVid uses the information required during profile creation for the Player Search feature. This allows prospective coaches to find you.
Why do I need to enter Current Address or Postal Code?
This is used for a Location Search under the Player Search options. An exact address is NOT required, a postal/zip code is all that is required. ScoutVid does not display or will not use your address for any other feature than Player Search.
Why is my Tier not visible to the public?
At ScoutVid we want the videos to do the talking without any bias to the tier that you play. ScoutVid retains the tier information for our records.
Social Media Posting
If you select Social Media Posting this allows ScoutVid to post your videos on all of our social media platforms.
How do I edit my profile?
Click on “Edit Profile” and you will notice a faded pencil beside the editable fields. Once edits are complete click “Save Profile”
Birth Year and Birthplace are the only two un-editable fields as the will never change.
How do I share with Friends and Family and/or Prospective Scouts, Coaches and Teams?
Click “Share” button and select how platform you would like to share your profile with.

What are the Video Tags?
When you have many video’s in your reel this will allow a sort feature for users looking for specific types of video’s ie: Game Day or Gym

How do I update my Associations and/or Location and contact info?
Click Edit Profile
I found a player that would be a great fit on my team, can I contact that player?
Yes! Press “Contact” and a message will be sent through ScoutVid messaging to the players email.
Why do I need to Verification Document?
Scout/Coach Profiles have the ability to contact the players through the “Contact” button on Player Profiles. For the safety of the youth on the ScoutVid site we require the minimum standards to coach youth which is
CANADA-CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK REQUIRED
USA- NCSI CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIRED.
Once verified your messages to players will show you have been Verified and trustworthy.
Do I need to Upload Verification Documents?
No, you are not required to upload verification documents. You have full access to your profile without the verification documents. When contacting players your messages will display that you have not been Verified by background checks and ensure due diligence when responding.

How do I add Scouts to my Organization?
From the Hamburger menu on the top left click on “Add Scouts”
Why should I go through my Organization to create a Scout/Coach profile instead of creating my own?
Scout/Coach profiles created through their Organization are instantly verified and are not required to upload verification documents. As Organizations require background checks for their coaches, we put the responsibility on the Organization to keep these records up to date.
How do I remove Scouts?
Under “My Scouts” there is a delete option beside the name of each of your scouts.
Is there a limit to the amount of Scouts I can add?
No! We know Organizations have many scouts and coaches through all the divisions so we have not put a limit on the number allowed.
